As roughly 50,000 Afghan refugees begin resettling in communities across the country, we at the Refugee Education Center welcome any and all Afghan nationals seeking to call West Michigan home. With a rich history of supporting and welcoming refugees and immigrants from all over the world, we are prepared to assist these resilient families and children while they set roots in our community.

With indications that hundreds of individuals and families will settle in and throughout West Michigan through this large humanitarian effort, the Refugee Education Center is working closely with our local partners, including refugee resettlement agencies, state and local government agencies, and intermediate school districts so they can be organized and prepared to welcome and support our new neighbors as they arrive.

If you would like to support the Refugee Education Center’s involvement in these resettlement efforts, please consider donating or volunteering.
