COVID-19 Response Fund
The Refugee Education Center is committed to our mission of supporting refugees in the West Michigan community amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Refugee Education Center has adapted its programs and services to ensure local refugees are informed of relevant health and safety information, school updates and resources, government orders, and local social services. We need the help of our community to continue providing vital community, education, and business resources.
Support Refugee-Owned Businesses
Our goal is to provide
supplemental income for Hands Connected Network members who own licensed childcare businesses for the duration of the school year so that they may care for their own families.
Provide Distance-Learning Supplies to K-12 Students
Through digital tutoring and mentorship, volunteers help students with core curriculum, reading and language support, socio-emotional learning needs, and new technology requirements/barriers.
Ensure Vital Community Resources are Available to All
Our Refugee Navigators are
an indispensable link to the
refugee community – especially during this crisis – and are working harder than ever to lend their support.
